To fight against excessive speeds and induce a change in the behavior of drivers, the use of speed sensitive traffic lights is particularly effective. Upon detection of excessive speed upstream, this type of lights punish dangerous behavior, and of course, encourage carefull behavior. They will be installed on a main road axis, sometimes on a pedestrian crossing or school outside.
Two types of fonctionning
Flow mode: On detection mode, green lights are turning red when overspeed is detected by the radar.
Security mode: On detection mode, red light is maintained when overspeed is detected but turning green when limitation speed is respected. This mode is incentive for better security behavior.
